More than 40 years ago, on the West Coast of the United States in the second half of the 1970s, the marijuana variety "Skunk" was born - one of the most resistant families, popular in the breeding of various strains due to its genetic purity.
This was the first stabilized hybrid introduced to the growing Dutch growing market. Back then it was usually called "sensimilia" - to increase efficiency, gardeners grew female marijuana and did not allow fertilization, in order to use all the energy of the plant for the production of resin, and not for growing seeds.
Its name in English means "skunk" and was obtained because of its strong smell. This is an extremely important factor to consider if we want to grow Skunk indoors. Because this smell will not go unnoticed if effective air filtration systems are not taken care of.
The ratio of 75% sativa to 25% indica works very well to represent the characteristics of each of these strains. It provides the aroma and refined, slightly sweet taste of sativa, and a short flowering period of close to two months, which is characteristic of indica.
Thanks to the ratio of large buds to even larger leaves, this variety is easy to dry properly and "cure" after harvest. And the smoke consistently provides a powerful cerebral effect.
