On average, the germination process takes from one to five days. Seeds from proven seed banks are able to show reactive growth rates and fully germinate in a day, while low-quality or old seeds lie up to a week and a half before showing signs of life. Fresh large and mature seeds have the best planting qualities. It is easy to determine the maturity by the color, which should be brown.

Sprouting cannabis seeds in water

The method is the most effective. For this, a container of water is taken, where the seed is thrown. In order to increase the chances of germination, growers use a hydroponics chip, and equip the vessel with an aquarium compressor. After 12 to 24 hours, the seed should sink and swell. We put the sunken seeds on a sponge and close it with the second part. The sponge should be slightly damp. The resulting sandwich is removed in an airtight container and placed in a warm place. After 1 - 5 days, the root crawls out, after which we plant the grain with the root down.

Sprouting hemp seeds in the ground

The method does not boast good germination, but it has several advantages. It is simpler than others, is considered the most natural, and also has less risk of damaging the germ. During planting in the ground, unprepared seeds are sown in holes up to 1 cm deep. Then the soil is covered with a plastic cup to maintain moisture. By germinating in the ground, the grower cannot check the condition of the embryo. With a successful outcome, a sprout appears after 1 - 2 weeks.

Sprouting cannabis seeds in cotton pads

The technique is similar to sprouting in water, but does not include soaking in liquid. In order to properly germinate seeds in cotton pads, you need to purchase clean cotton wool, without the addition of flavors. Cotton pads are moistened and a seed is placed between them. Disks should be removed in an airtight container, which is placed in a warm place. The ideal temperature would be 25-30°C. Once a day, we check the seeds for the presence of a root, after the appearance of which we plant them in the soil.

How to germinate marijuana seeds in peat tablets

The peat tablets contain the necessary nutrients, which will make it easier for the grower at the sprout stage. Tablets are easy to plant in the ground, due to the lack of need for a transplant. In this case, the seed is sown at a distance of up to 1 cm and covered with uncompacted soil. The hole needs regular watering with a small amount of water. On the 7th - 14th day, a young shoot should appear.
