Frisian Dew has what is called "hybrid power". This is the result of crossing a Super Skunk female with a Purple Star male. Shiva created a very hardy plant that grows quickly and blooms luxuriantly. The sativa genes give it long buds, while the indica genes give it compact buds. Together they provide very high yields.

The name 'Frisian Dew' comes from the locality where the variety originated. "Frisian" is the literal English translation of the word "Fries". This is the name of the northernmost region of Holland, famous for its significant cultural heritage, where there is a dialect.

This hardy hybrid has a strong effect on experienced smokers, and this effect lasts for quite some time. The variety is not suitable for closed ground. But it grows chic in open ground and in greenhouses. If the circumstances turn out well, and the plant falls into caring hands, it can grow to a gigantic size. Often we are talking about 3.5 meters in height and 3.5 meters in width. Most often, Frisian Dew can be harvested outdoors in October if you live in the Northern Hemisphere. With a successful combination of circumstances, the greenhouse harvest time comes a few weeks earlier. But remember that during the last weeks of growth, plant buds are just gaining the bulk. If you hurry with the collection of cones, you can lose part of the crop.

If a bush is planted in open ground (or a greenhouse), it the height can be 3-4 m, and the period of harvest falls on the beginning or middle of autumn.

Recommended minimum growing time for seedlings is 3 to 6 weeks. Outdoor plants are best grown indoors first using an 18x6 light setting. Germinating feminized seed outdoors, or bringing young seedlings that have hatched from the ground just a few days ago outdoors, is associated with a lot of risks. Young plants are less resistant to weather conditions. In addition, they can be eaten very quickly by small pests, insects or other animals. The larger and healthier the plant becomes by the time it is transplanted into open ground, the greater the likelihood of a successful harvest.

Frisian Dew thrives best in mild to temperate climates. But the variety adapts well to very hot or humid climates. It generally handles bad weather better than most traditional cannabis strains.

The flowering period lasts about 8 weeks. If we take the latitude at which Holland is located, then the harvest can be harvested from the end of September to the last days of October. In a greenhouse where conditions are better, the plant will often flower faster.
