What is cannabis training?

It is in every grower's interest to get as many buds as possible from a single cannabis plant. One aspect of a rich harvest is proper training. Training is called bending, pruning and other manipulations to change the shape of the plant. This is necessary for the Christmas tree to release the energy of growth in the right direction for the grower. The correct form of marijuana promotes better absorption of light, air aeration and accelerated growth. The most famous methods are: LST, SCROG, mainlining and supercropping. Each of the techniques brings more or less stress to the plant, while increasing yields. The methods are great for photoperiod varieties and are not usually used on autoflowers.

Improving cannabis yield

Despite the many benefits of cannabis training, the main one is getting a rich harvest. To achieve high yields, you need to start training a young bush. Almost all work takes place during the growing season. The goal of training is to ensure that the branches have an even distribution of light. The SCROG technique is best suited for this. Using the technique, a grid is installed above the bush along which grass stakes are attached. With this method, cannabis is able to occupy the entire area of the grow box, evenly absorbing artificial light. The method is valued for its high yield, however, due to its complexity, it is not suitable for beginner gardeners.

Bending marijuana

Young hemp, like hot metal, is able to take any shape. One aspect of controlled grass growth is cannabis branch bending, which is at the heart of all training. By choosing LST or Low Stress Training, the grower puts the plant under a little bit of stress. Sometimes this method is used by fans of autoflowering strains, safely increasing the number of buds. The essence of the technique is to bend and bend the central stake, instead of trimming it. To do this, the stem of a young shoot bends closer to the ground, and large leaves are laid aside. The stem should be long enough to prevent breakage. The fold is done before watering, so the cannabis remains more flexible.

Pinching off the hemp

Defoliating, or pruning leaves and young branches, helps direct the plant's forces in the right direction, better illuminating the inflorescences. All photoperiod growers pluck their plants periodically. But in the art of cannabis cultivation there are also interesting training techniques that allow you to trim the plant - to get more yield. One of these is FIM. The essence of the method is to trim 70% from the top. Leaving a third of the top of the cannabis, it subsequently grows up to four new tops. The method was discovered quite by accident, but seeing the productivity of the technique, the discoverer grower continued to use it.
