How many cannabis seeds sprout

The initial stage of traditional cannabis cultivation is the agonizing wait for the sprout to appear. Some grains sprout quickly, others have to wait weeks. On average, the seed shows the first sprout after a period of one to four days. It all depends on the freshness, maturity, quality and method of seed germination. Planting depth is also important. A seed buried 1 cm or deeper may take longer to sprout or not sprout at all. Immediately after birth, the young plant should be protected from bright light and create conditions with high humidity. A transparent plastic cup with holes that covers the shoot does an excellent job with this.

Cannabis seeds do not germinate

Many beginners and even experienced growers face the problem of germination. The reason may be improper germination or problematic seeds. To increase the likelihood of root formation, an aquarium compressor is connected to a glass of water. If already germinated seeds do not want to sprout, then the problem is in the soil, temperature or humidity. Peat tablets and a temperature of 23 - 28 degrees will help increase the chances of success. The soil should not be dry, and it is important to prevent flooding of the seed. Excessive moisture contributes to the rotting of the grain, which will completely destroy the chances of success. Quality seeds are brown, large and undamaged. Fresh seeds germinate faster.

When is the best time to plant

The cannabis planting season only matters in the case of the outdoor method. When determining the best time for sowing marijuana, you should focus on the climate of your country. In warm regions, growers start in May, when the temperature does not drop below 19 degrees at night. In cooler places, cannabis should be sown later. It is important to build on the characteristics of the variety and the time of its flowering. With the onset of autumn cold weather, the plant can get sick or even die before it reaches the harvest. Growers living in cold climates are beginning to grow cannabis indoors, transplanting plants outdoors when the weather warms up. An alternative would be autoflowers, which bloom much faster than photoperiod marijuana.

Pros of sprouting from seed

Growing hemp from seeds has some advantages over the cloning technique. These include the good health of the tree, the ability to change varieties, and the ease of training. As a rule, bushes obtained from seeds are healthier than cloned counterparts. In addition, by germinating seeds, you can regularly change the variety of cannabis, which is not available when cultivating clones. Traditional shoots are easier to train and can be shaped from a young age.
